The exquisite of another time, that of the lush farniente when the happy few had the time and taste to appreciate the beauty of perfect craftsmanship. Today, Jallu cabinetmakers say their objects are “museum quality” which is certainly true but also reveals the somewhat sad reality of their value rather as investments than a daily beauty for the eye and the touch. Beauties they are, though, and it is reassuring that someone still finds a way to conceive such fabulous creatures.
